Day 37

November 13th, 2005: Guatemala City, Guatemala

When it rains it pours. We woke up this morning to another flat tire. Thankfully it was only the front tire this time which is much easier to fix, but it still wasn't the honey on our Cornflakes either. No doubt that tube had punctures in it as well from the same tire iron. We filed down the tire iron, and added 1 more tire change to the final count. On the plus side, we're such experts now, that we fixed that baby in 2 minutes "flat" (pun intended...again). After changing the tire there was little time left to cross the border. Also, it was Sunday, and most things seem to be closed or not at full capacity on Sundays, so we figured we might as well spend another day in Guatemala City and make for the border on the 14th.
